Orca Bio underwent a noteworthy interior project within an already established building, requiring significant joist retrofit and TI steel work. One of the key features of this project was the installation of a large new structural steel brace framed platform, complete with horizontal rod bracing. However, what made this project stand out was the implementation of a special-order grip strut grating on the platform, which had a lengthy lead time. In order to keep the project on track for DPR Construction and facilitate the work of other trades, JD2's team developed a safe and inventive solution for installing the grating while working around existing ceilings and expensive equipment.
