This building site was placed over a previous dump site over San Francisco Bay mud therefore pile foundations were required. Using the Tru-Frame ™ system reduced the structure weight from 1250 tons (originally conventional moment frame) down to 850 tons which had a dramatic reduction in the pile requirements and the structure costs. |
